Your expertise will drive the development of innovative processes and tooling, empowering Zoox to seamlessly scale specialized workloads both on-premises and in the cloud, essential for powering our self-driving vehicle service into the future.In this role, you will:Building and maintaining Zoox's IT infrastructure platformBe heavily involved in all phases of rolling out services and designing systems that are robust and easy to maintain and operateServe as an escalation contact for service incidentsQualifications:BS/MS in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience Experience with automation, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and SDLC using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Salt, GitAbility to lead configuration and maintenance of Linux/ Unix applications, familiarity with web servers, load balancers, storage systems, databases, DNS, monitoring & alerting and metrics toolsProficiency coding in PythonBonus QualificationsExperience with AWS, ECS, and KubernetesExposure to HashiCorp products such as terraform, vault, nomad, consul etcFamiliar with TCP/IP network fundamentalsCompetence with virtualization technologies & tools such as KVM, Docker, or LXCCompensationThere are three major components to compensation for this position: pay, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The pay range for this position is $179,000 to $226,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
