Job Summary PowerSchool is looking for a skilled Senior Revenue Accountant to join our Revenue Accounting team. This role, reporting to the Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting, focuses on carefully reviewing significant and non-standard sales contracts to ensure they meet accounting standards (ASC 606) and our internal controls. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in revenue accounting, especially in contract review, and will play a crucial role in helping us adhere to industry standards. You'll work closely with various teams and business partners every day to maintain accurate and timely accounting and to ensure our reporting aligns with US GAAP.

Key contributor to execution of our revenue recognition process, including Supporting contract negotiation and deal structure and Evaluating contracts for revenue recognition considerations, while maintaining compliance with GAAP requirements Partner with Legal, Billing Operations and Accounting teams to ensure that revenue is recognized appropriately Key contributor to the monthly close process, account reconciliations, account analysis and preparation of journal entries related to revenue recognition, accounts receivable and deferred revenue to ensure proper accounting under ASC 606, and other key processes within the revenue recognition close process Streamline/automate customer contract review process and systems Refine revenue recognition policies and technical accounting conclusions Prepare analytics and assist FP&A and Accounting teams with revenue forecasting and key operating metrics Ensure compliance with key controls in the revenue recognition process and support audit requirements Participate in Finance projects as needed, including the evaluation of new accounting standards, process automation, and implementation of a revenue management system. Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance CPA with Big Four experience preferred 3+ years' experience in revenue/accounting role Understanding of ASC 606 principles and US GAAP Technical accounting experience, with a focus on revenue recognition A demonstrated ability to identify continuous process improvements Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who works well in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment Commitment to continuous process improvement Experience with systems such as NetSuite, ARM and Salesforce required
