Job Description: The Opus product team faces many unique and exciting challenges. We prioritize speed and accessibility above all, and solve problems for users at every role within our customers, from the CEO down to a teenager starting their first summer job. Our product includes many interesting components including a real-time collaborative content builder and a mobile app that maintains a 4.9 star rating.
As our first Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our product. You will work directly with the CTO, engineering team, and design team every day. Your primary focus will be to deeply understand our customer and their problems. You will use that information to develop goals, priorities, and requirements for our product. You will also own key decisions about product hierarchy and structure as we solve more and more problems for our customers.
Responsibilities: Product Requirements Definition : Responsible for gathering, defining, and clarifying the requirements and functional specifications of the product. This involves close collaboration with stakeholders (including customers, sales reps, CX reps, designers, and the development team) to ensure the product features align with customer needs and business goals. Prioritization and Roadmap Planning : Prioritize product features and tasks using criteria like customer impact and resource availability. This also involves maintaining and updating the product roadmap to reflect the priorities and ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on the product vision and execution plan. Metric Tracking and Performance Analysis : Establish key performance indicators for the product and track these metrics to gauge the product's success in the market. This involves analyzing data to understand user behavior, feature adoption, and the effectiveness of different product versions. User Experience and Feedback : Conduct customer research to better understand their needs, and how we can improve the product. Product Strategy: Help craft the product strategy and direction based on many inputs, including broad business goals. Qualifications: You have 4+ years of product management experience. Impact oriented: you care deeply about delivering outcomes over outputs, choosing to work in a thoughtful, iterative way. You capture learnings, share them broadly, and apply them to future decisions. Customer obsessed: Cares deeply about customer experiences and is excited to work within restaurants. Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred! Excellent communication: you are comfortable and confident sharing your thoughts in written or verbal form. You can engage constructively in debate and discussion with your colleagues and peers, while keeping it fun and engaging. Appreciation of quality : you are very enthusiastic about your favorite products, and can articulate why they're awesome. You believe quality is non-negotiable. Scrappy : you love to ship tightly scoped, early iterations and are always exploring how you can learn in the least amount of time. You are excited about influencing priorities and adapting to new challenges.
