Purpose:
Developing approaches for procuring and contracting external support from the open marketplace in line with industry standards. This involves gathering information via supplier databases and other sources, vetting candidates to make a final selection, negotiating, delivering and tracking, as well as assessing performance, throughout the contract term. To provide purchasing and analytical support through monitoring inventory levels, comparing supplier prices, utilizing ERP system to create purchase orders, tracking and verifying freight logistics, and resolving delivery quality and invoice disputes.
Job Responsibilities: Design packaging to meet product and customer specifications, understanding packaging requirements for food industry while working in TOPS Manage inventory levels of raw ingredients, packaging materials, and general production needs, inputting adjustments into system for use tracking Monitor projections, production schedules, and customer orders to forecast inventory needs Partner with cross-functional Ellison team to implement and work with suppliers in TraceGains Place orders in ERP system and other vendor purchasing systems, setup freight, track freight logistic, and verify delivery for quality, amount, and tracking code information Engage in research that uncovers valuable information in market context, which addresses industry trends, major players -- both partners and competitors -- as well as opportunities for growth Support review of contract positions and market with senior leadership in making purchasing decisions Collaborate cross functionally to build consensus amongst the team and senior leaders throughout the process of finalizing contractual arrangements Track supplier performance on a continual basis by evaluating the quality and quantity of deliverables against mutually established performance expectations and milestones Ensure accountability and continuous improvement by serving as a liaison to suppliers; address complex relationship matters related to workflow, resource management, approval chains and other areas Gather production use records, inputting data in ERP system, discussing and correcting discrepancies with Production Operators, or Shift Supervision Procure certain indirect spend items for the organization Participation and adherence to all food safety and safety programs Completion of assigned Alchemy courses that are required throughout the year Follow all:
