Perform a broad range of payroll processing and payroll accounting functions in a fast-paced environment utilizing the Ultimate Kronos Group Payroll system (UKG Pro). Audit employee time sheets for accuracy of hours, FLSA compliance and company policies. Maintain, prepare and process payroll for corporate personnel. Prepare payroll related journal entries for period-end. Compile and submit payroll deductions related check requests and payments. Maintain current knowledge of IRS regulations pertaining to payroll administration. Payroll certification preferred.
Essential Functions for this role include: Bi-weekly payroll load, verification and reconciliation. Prepare accruals for salaries and benefits. W2 review and verification. Weekly travel and expense report review and processing Loading "other" income items to be reported on W2s, e.g., Runzheimer, Capital Relocation. Always strictly adhere to control procedures and exemplify honesty, integrity, and confidentiality. Assist with identification and implementation of processes to streamline operations for efficiencies, effectiveness, and control perspectives. Prepare schedules, accumulation of documents/files, etc. in conjunction with internal and external audits and reviews. Assist with the development and documentation of procedures that ensure proper segregation of responsibilities. Other duties as assigned. If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Three to five years' experience with hands on full cycle payroll processing.
Knowledge and experience with multi-state taxation; payroll tax calculations and garnishments processing.
Experience with Ultipro Software and basic accounting.
FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification), preferred. Knowledge and experience in the interpretation of all US Payroll tax rules and regulations
Complete understanding timesheet audit and Overtime calculation rules
Effective time management and organizational skills
Flexibility and adaptability under pressure and deadlines
Proven problem-solving skills.
Positive customer service focus
Proficiency with MS Excel
Ability to deal effectively with associates at all levels in the organization.
