JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Database Marketing leads Database operations and segment execution enterprise wide for direct marketing campaigns and research studies along with ad hoc data queries. This individual leads, but collaborates with the direct marketing and marketing sciences. This position plays the key role in achieving flawless execution across direct marketing channels and tracking structures for mass media, translating complex business requirements into defined data queries, and identifying business opportunities through data analysis. Success in this position requires a high level of experience in working with data tables, manipulating complex data interactions and managing competing priorities. This position reports to the Director, Database Marketing and requires regular interaction with cross-functional teams and executives.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience Gather, refine and validate complex business requirements, interdependencies, potential risks and issues to automate processes and functions. Utilize available and necessary database marketing tools, techniques and software solutions to support the creation of an enterprise-wide approach toward data-driven decision making and evaluation. Translate high level business process design or redesign and documentation as needed. Manage the development of standard and ad hoc reports related to the data warehouse and data append processes. Design complex campaign lists, work with channel marketers, and respond to list selection requests for direct marketing campaigns, research efforts, business issue analyses, etc. Manage toll-free number assignment, tracking, resting and reuse. Ensure all data capture needs are met, including file hygiene and offer history. Ensure the integrity of data in the direct-to-consumer marketing data warehouse. Supervise and direct the work of one or more direct reports. Act as liaison to IT on all direct-to-consumer data warehouse projects and database support issues. Co-manage vendor relationship and interactions. Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Ability to communicate in a clear and straightforward manner Expertise with campaign management or automated marketing tools (i.e. Unica, Aprimo, Epiphany, etc., Unica experience preferred) Ability to execute campaign management projects working in a large environment with multiple campaign channels Ability to translate campaign strategies into data extract files and ensure secure delivery on time Ability to conduct campaign performance analysis and communicate results to cross-functional teams Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at one time Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Ability to manage all phases of a large project from beginning to end with sufficient autonomy Ability to work well with people from all levels of the organization, many different disciplines and varying degrees of technical and business experience Ability to show judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties Ability to work independently and make recommendations and decisions autonomously Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to make decisions and resolve problems while working under pressure Ability to manage and foster changeAbility to conduct formal presentations to various levels of management on issues or findings in assigned areas or subjects Ability to analyze and interpret data to make recommendations based on analysis and expertise Honesty, integrity and ethics Knowledge of cable television, high speed Internet and phone products and services preferred Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to think strategically Highly developed capacity for teamwork and a strong focus on the customer Penchant to work with a sense of urgency  Required Education Bachelors Degree in Information Systems Management, Business, Finance or related discipline MBA /Masters preferred Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years Database marketing experience - 7-10 Project Management - 4+ WORKING CONDITIONS  Office environment
