What are we looking for?
Senior Informatica ETL Developer is responsible for supporting ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS, and IICS and providing support activities. The job assignments will include analyzing, designing, developing, and delivering data using the Informatica ETL tool from operational systems and files into a staging area, operational data stores, data warehouses, data marts, and files. They will also be responsible for developing ETL mapping, mapping documents, and SQL queries. Furthermore, the Senior Informatica ETL Developer will assist in designing, developing, and implementing the enterprise integration architecture and provide ETL expertise to other areas of the organization.

Design ETL Solutions:
Collaborate with data architects and business stakeholders to understand requirements. Create high-level ETL architecture, considering scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Data Extraction:
Retrieve data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files, etc.).
Optimize extraction performance by using appropriate techniques (incremental loads, parallel processing, etc.).
Data Transformation:
Cleanse, validate, and enrich data using Informatica transformations (e.g., Expression, Aggregator, Lookup).
Implement business rules and data quality checks.
Handle data type conversions and handle null values appropriately.
Data Loading:
Load transformed data into target systems (data warehouses, databases, cloud storage, etc.).
Optimize loading performance (bulk loading, partitioning, etc.).
Error Handling and Logging:
Implement robust error handling mechanisms (reject files, error tables, notifications).
Log job execution details for auditing and troubleshooting.
Performance Tuning:
Profile and analyze data to identify bottlenecks.
Optimize ETL workflows for better performance (indexing, caching, parallelism).
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders.
Understand business requirements and translate them into ETL solutions.
Change Data Capture (CDC):
Implement CDC mechanisms to capture and load only changed data.
Manage historical data using effective techniques (slowly changing dimensions, effective dates).
Data Governance and Quality:
Profile source data to identify data quality issues (e.g., duplicates, missing values).
Develop robust data cleansing routines to ensure high-quality data.
Monitoring and Maintenance:
Monitor ETL jobs for failures, performance issues, and data discrepancies.
Schedule and maintain ETL workflows (job scheduling tools like SKYBOT).
Security and Compliance:
Ensure data security (encryption, access controls).
Comply with data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
What's necessary to do the job? Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is typically required.
Advanced degrees (master's or higher) can be advantageous but are not always necessary.
10 years of relevant experience in the field of ETL development.
5 years of specific experience working with data warehouses.
Proficiency in Data Management tools (such as Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS and IICS).
Strong understanding of SQL Server database technologies.
Solid Hands-on experience in SQL programming and writing stored procedures, functions, views, SQL queries as required.
Ability to quickly assess data structures and processes to interpret how business data sets relate to each other.
Strong desire to learn how things work and to apply that knowledge to problem resolution.

The wage range for applicants for this position is [$125,000.00 to $130,000.00].
