Responsibilities
• Collaborate with managers or practitioners to determine systems requirements and functionalities needed in new or revised application• Develop detailed specifications of application• Perform or review coding to render specifications into application functionalities• Develop test plan and/or test application• Document or review documentation of steps in specification development, coding, testing, and user acceptance• May lead a small project or a segment of a larger project• May mentor or provide technical guidance to less experienced staff
Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Business or Computer Science• 4-6 years of related experience• Hands on experience in designing and developing applications on the cloud using Java/python or other development platforms• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application• Experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying software• Experience working with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, REDSHIFT, S3, LAMBDA, Elastic Beanstalk, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch• Experience with big data processing using Apache Spark framework is a plus• Experience with microservices is a plus• Experience in building with Automation tools such as (Jenkins, Nexus, Maven and JUnit) as well as CI/CD is a plus• AWS Solutions Architect or Developer Certification preferred
