Position Summary
PacBio has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Analyst, Commercial Strategy & Operations to be key partner across the Commercial Organization in areas ranging from Forecasting and Sales Enablement to Marketing Analytics and Ad Hoc Analysis. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical partner to Commercial Leadership, enabling execution on core strategies and uncovering opportunities to increase productivity. A successful Strategy & Ops Senior Analyst will leverage data to reveal insights, uncover critical business drivers, maximize commercial productivity, and support revenue growth. They will combine business acumen with a data driven and action-oriented approach to help maximize our potential in a fast moving, high growth environment. Responsibilities Work with Commercial leaders on critical strategic, organizational, and operational projects designed to increase revenue, sales productivity, and operational efficiency. Provide thought leadership, perform business analysis, and support execution of high-impact strategic projects and mission-critical initiatives. Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasting models and projections to support decision-making and strategy development. Support Commercial planning process and strategic initiatives through capacity planning, productivity review, market segmentation, territory carving, quota/incentive design, and more Foster a data driven culture within the Commercial organization and champion data driven insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, FP&A, and Commercial Operations, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives. Maintain continuous improvement mindset, regularly keeping an eye toward opportunities for ongoing program improvements and enhancements. Define, design, and interpret key performance metrics to deliver insights and recommendations to leadership. Support regular Commercial QBR updates and identify ways to introduce standardization and automation into the process. Work in partnership with regional Commercial leadership channel partner programs and resources for use by our distributors. Support sales incentive compensation management tools, analysis, and day-to-day operations. Minimum Requirements 3+ years successful track record and progressive experience in sales operations, commercial operations, or FP&A, preferably within the genomics, biotechnology, or healthcare industry. Exceptional strategic thinking skills balanced with operational execution capabilities. Strong competency in problem solving, analysis & project management. Ability to identify issues and develop and implement solutions to meet department and company goals. Self-starter; strong drive and work ethic. Willingness to take on big challenges and own the results from brainstorm to execution. Effectively and concisely communicates complex topics with strong written and verbal communication skills. Background supporting various business partners with a focus on analytics and/or operational excellence. Experience with indirect sales channel planning is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to deliver quality work in a timely manner with competing priorities. Non-Field Based Employees are required to be onsite Monday-Thursday (Friday work from home). Depending on the role, some employees may be required to be 100% onsite.
