About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst, Medicare Bid, to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and maintaining actuarial models, analyzing data, and providing strategic insights to support the pricing and bidding process for our Medicare Advantage plans. You will contribute to the enhancement of plan performance through pricing strategies, compliance assurance, and insightful analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement bid pricing strategies to optimize the performance of Medicare Advantage plans.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare Advantage bid requirements by analyzing and interpreting regulatory guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate market trends and organizational goals into pricing decisions.
- Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario testing to assess the impact of various factors on bid pricing outcomes.
- Analyze healthcare claims data and enrollment data to identify trends and patterns.
- Work closely with data analysts and actuaries to ensure data accuracy in the pricing process.
- Stay informed of changes in risk adjustment methodologies and assess their implications for pricing and financial performance.
- Generate regular reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and providing insights into financial results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial, Finance, or related field.
- 4+ exams completed for the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.
- 5+ years of healthcare actuarial experience.
- Proficiency in SQL or another programming language for writing queries.
- Demonstrated project management skills in data-related and financial analysis projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (ASA or FSA) designation.
- 2+ years of experience in Medicare Bid.
