Senior Accountant

Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.Our client, a leading environmental waste services company in Hoffman Estates, IL, seeks a motivated Senior Accountant to join their growing team. Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate and timely accounting & analysis, empowering informed business decisions.
Drive process improvement and lead with transparency while collaborating across departments.
Handle all aspects of the general ledger close cycle (month-end, quarter-end, year-end).
Maintain the integrity of financial information & reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Analyze financial reports, trends, and support business leaders in understanding performance.
Assist with external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
3-8 years' experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, internal audit, or similar.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (CPA strongly preferred).
Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications (NetSuite & Coupa a plus).
