The Role: Selling Team Member The role of the Selling Team Member is to be a person who primarily assists customers with their needs on the sales floor as well as offer suggested add on items. Offering amazing service to every Guest is a must as well as maintaining a positive, fun and energetic atmosphere. This person needs to be knowledgeable in all areas of our store and comfortable giving accurate advice and suggestions. They are responsible for maintaining our reputation as a kind, trustworthy and knowledgeable resource with our customers. This person ensures the front of the shop is clean and inviting and maintains an organized workspace.
Summary of Experience Applicants should familiarize themselves with our store layout as well as types of products and services we provide. We recommend exploring the store, website and our social media prior to your interview. Previous experience in a pet related field is a bonus. This is a selling position. You must have an outgoing personality and be comfortable initiating conversations with customers. Basic Qualifications Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality Available to work flexible hours that may include mornings, early evenings, weekends, and holidays Meet store operating policies and standards, including store safety and security Engage with and understand our Guests, including discovering and responding to Guest needs through clear and pleasant communication Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift Able to problem solve and follow a proper conflict resolution process Ability to focus on the customer above everyone else and juggle multiple customers at the same time.
