Overview:
Lotus Behavioral Health is seeking a motivated Seasonal Education Coordinator to join our team for the summer. This role is ideal for educators looking to make a positive impact during their summer break. The Education Coordinator will assist adolescents aged 12 - 17, who are recovering from substance use, to maintain their educational progress through virtual schooling. This position involves coordinating with clients, parents, and schools to ensure seamless continuation and support in academic activities during the summer months.
Responsibilities: Monitor student progress in their academic subjects. Facilitate communication between the school, parents, and the student to report on the client's academic progress. Plan and oversee dedicated school time for each client. Evaluate students' progress against set instructional objectives and provide assessments. Deliver clear and constructive feedback on achievement expectations and goals to the client. Liaise with school personnel to keep abreast of the client's schoolwork and homework requirements. Maintain accurate records including attendance, portfolios of work samples, and reports on assignments and work completed. Requirements:
Strong proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding fundamental concepts of Math and Science. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff. High School Diploma or Associate Degree required. At least 1 year of experience as an education coordinator, preferably with adolescents in a mental health setting. Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to be physically mobile (stand, walk, reach, climb, bend) and to sit for prolonged periods throughout work hours. Must be able to lift and/or move 25 or more pounds occasionally. Must respond appropriately and effectively in crises by using good judgment and following Lotus Behavioral Health protocols. Supervision will be provided.
