The Position:
You will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and upgrading TVWD's Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system along with a second SCADA Technician. The data collection and reporting that you two facilitate will help staff effectively control water system operations. You'll be an integral part of keeping water flowing smoothly to 226,950 people!
TVWD Priorities and Projects: TVWD's new water source, the Willamette Water Supply System (WWSS), will be operational in 2026. TVWD is the managing agency of this supply and responsible for the design and construction of future expansions as well as its integration into the current TVWD water system. TVWD is always working on a variety of capital improvement projects aimed at improving the resiliency of our water system infrastructure. System Operations Team Culture:
This team manages our reservoirs, pump stations, and pressure regulating stations, ensuring reliable delivery to our customers. The team brings a diverse skillset to the table, and collaboration is key—they are always willing to help each other out. Besides operating the system, this team is working on integrating the new Willamette Water Supply and upgrading our entire SCADA system.
Are You Our Ideal Candidate?
We're looking for someone with the following experience, skills, and traits to join our team:
Associate degree in industrial controls, instrumentation, computer science, computer programming, or other related field. A minimum of five years of experience using programming languages, control software, industrial control programming, and related tools for industrial process controls systems design or similar. A Limited Energy Technician, Class B (LEB), electrician license or higher issued by the Oregon Building Codes Division (or the ability to obtain within the first six months of employment). Accountable—taking pride and ownership in work successes and failures. Dependable—good attendance and the ability to answer after-hours calls and questions. Safety-driven. Self-starter—able to work in an unsupervised environment and appropriately prioritize work. Team player—able to take direction equally well from a supervisor or coworkers. Compensation/Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $93,329.60 - $140,004.80 per year depending on experience.
