Responsibilities:
As the SBA Underwriter - Franchise, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and analyzing credit applications for SBA 7a, 504 & Express loans, as well as USDA loans. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough analysis and risk assessment of credit applications to ensure compliance with our credit risk management strategy, credit policy, and SBA/USDA loan programs.
- Utilizing your expertise in commercial lending and USDA/SBA lending processes to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless processing of loan applications.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Solid understanding of USDA Loan Programs & SBA 7a, Express & 504 Loan Programs.
- Proficiency in cash flow analysis, ratio analysis, and projections, along with experience in commercial loan structuring and documentation.
- Familiarity with real estate appraisal techniques and regulations governing Environmental Reporting.
- Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related software applications (experience with nCino is advantageous).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and pay attention to detail.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and adapt to changes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Five or more years of experience in a credit analysis role related to SBA/USDA lending.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or economics preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
