About the team This is an exciting time to join a rapidly evolving part of a new and dynamic Sales Engineering team at FIS covering our industry leading Card Payments and Money Movement solutions for the North American market. Our team is full of curious and innovative experts who provide outstanding customer experiences and build authentic relationships with all stakeholders.
What you will be doing The Payments Sales Engineering team supports the matrix sales organization in all aspects of the sales process. As the product subject matter expert, the Solution Consultant is responsible for completing RFPs, delivering onsite customer sales calls and demonstrations, and provide a liaison from Sales to the product and delivery teams.
Act as a key member of the deal team and as a liaison between the sales team and product management, product delivery, and professional services; Assist the sales team in attaining our annual quota; Provide industry expertise in the payments domain, specifically card payments and money movement (Debit/ATM, PIN Network, Credit, Prepaid, Fraud, Loyalty, Payables, Receivables, and Production/Back Office solutions); Respond to written RFIs/RFPs, both through managing the RFP process and providing direct written responses to questions; Conduct demos of our software solutions to prospects and clients, ensuring that we are clearly articulating the value of our solutions and how they map to our customers problems; Work with other business units within FIS to coordinate an overall solution that may span multiple products, including related products outside our business unit; Report on deal progress and escalating any issues that need to be addressed to ensure that we win the business. …and being the Rockstar you are, be willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed What you bring Experience with a consultative selling approach, ideally in the Card Payments and Money Movement space Demonstrable subject matter expertise in payment systems and financial software, specifically within an arena of Debit/ATM, PIN Network, Credit, Prepaid, Fraud, Loyalty, Payables, Receivables, and Production/Back Office solutions Ability to analyze, discuss and promote product-based solutions with customers and respond to their needs Experience in market analysis and strong research capabilities Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills both in person and over the phone/video conference; Strong listening skills and an ability to negotiate and influence others; Charismatic and able to build strong relationships with customers and prospects Ability to work in a flexible environment and respond quickly to requests from prospects Availability to travel up to 50%, primarily in North America; Added bonus if you have: 5+ years of experience as a pre-sales engineer, solutions engineer, architect, consultant or related operational engineering role.
