Volunteer Behavioral Health is seeking a passionate and dedicated RN to join our team on-site in Chattanooga, TN. This nursing position will work 8 am - 8 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

YOUR DAY AS AN RN You play a crucial role in helping individuals facing mental health crises. Your main responsibilities include implementing our unit's policies and procedures to ensure a structured and supportive environment. You also supervise our team of Psychiatric Technicians, working closely together to address the daily needs of our patients. You're also responsible for implementing medical procedures prescribed for each patient in the CSU. This includes carefully screening and addressing any calls or questions related to medication. You educate patients about their medications through interactive sessions and document each interaction.
Monitoring lab work within medication guidelines is a critical aspect of this role. Furthermore, you collaborate with our psychiatrist to ensure efficient prescription dispensing. As part of your responsibilities, you complete Admission Assessments and create detailed Treatment Plans for our patients. Your active participation in staffing rounds demonstrates your dedication to providing holistic and compassionate care to those in need!
QUALIFICATIONS Here's what we need from you:
Registered nurse certification in Tennessee Although experience in mental health is preferred, it's not required.
