Position Responsibilities: Performs nursing activities in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of the patient's surgical experience Provides nursing care to the patient in the operating room during orthopedic surgical and pain management procedures, assisting the surgical team as needed Addresses patient needs during admission to the operating room, provides comfort and reassurance to the patient Explains intraoperative phase routine procedures and care to the patient Monitors the patient during surgery, and coordinates care throughout the process with other perioperative care personnel Responsible for providing a safe environment for patient care in the operating room/procedure area Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent is required Current unrestricted Illinois RN licensure is required 2+ years OR experience preferred Orthopedic experience preferred Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds Must be flexible with hours ORA Orthopedics is the Quad Cities' largest and most comprehensive orthopedic provider, proudly offering an integrated continuum of orthopedic care that includes orthopedic sub-specialty clinics, walk-in care at our Urgent OrthoCARE clinics, diagnostic imaging, bracing, physical therapy, pharmacy, and outpatient surgery.
