Job Summary:
We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Long Term Care (LTC) team. As an RN in Long Term Care, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in our long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering person-centered care to residents.
Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide skilled nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and management of chronic conditions, following physician orders and established protocols. Monitor residents' vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment, communicating with the healthcare team to adjust care plans and interventions as needed. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, promoting independence and dignity. Document all aspects of resident care accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements, using electronic medical records systems. Educate and support residents and families about their health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques, promoting empowerment and engagement in care. Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and organizational policies to maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents and staff. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff education activities, and interdisciplinary team meetings to promote excellence in long-term care nursing practice. Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, with experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred. Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide compassionate care to residents and their families.
