Responsibilities
• Craft and implement robust infection control strategies, aligning with evidence-based practices and regulatory standards.• Oversee employee health programs, streamlining processes and ensuring comprehensive care.• Collaborate across departments to ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements.• Utilize your expertise to address complex healthcare challenges and implement cutting-edge solutions.• Drive initiatives to enhance patient care, staff safety, and overall quality.• Lead, evaluate, and inspire our nursing personnel, setting objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department.• Organize and coordinate patient care procedures, admissions, and nursing operations while ensuring compliance with legal regulations and quality standards.• Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations and address issues efficiently.• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in training and staff development.• Champion evidence-based practices and best practice standards in infection control.• Develop and implement comprehensive infection control and employee health orientation programs.• Ensure meticulous record-keeping and maintenance of employee health records.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for employee health and safety.• Orchestrate employee health initiatives, pre-employment testing, vaccinations, and more.• Coordinate the infection control program, conduct risk assessments, and notify relevant health departments.• Educate staff, physicians, and community leaders on infection prevention and control.• Craft and implement policies and procedures for a seamless onboarding process.• Support administration with employee health databases and compliance matters.• Collaborate with department heads to identify and address specific training needs.• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements.• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and healthcare regulations.
Requirements
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in long term care environment, showcasing your profound understanding of the healthcare landscape.• Current RN license for the state (VA), demonstrating your commitment to clinical excellence.• Bachelor's degree (BSN) highly desirable, amplifying your healthcare acumen.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and familiarity with competency/education software (preferred).
