You greet customers with a smile and a story about our social mission, the Playmaker Project. You help each person feel comfortable and welcome. Using your Superpowers and your knack for knowing your stuff, you help each person leave with something good and the decision to come back soon.
YOUR JOB Essential Duties and Responsibilities Deliver positive and memorable customer experiences Make sure we have the right balance of inventory to delight customers Know how to quickly, efficiently, and accurately process customer purchases Make sure the store is clean and inviting, including our behind-the-scenes areas Do your part to keep our customers and your coworkers safe Make it easy for customers to find exactly what they need – in the store and at Proactively keep the store secure from shoplifters or fraudulent transactions through education, awareness and quick action Be prepared and able to move constantly in a retail store environment approximately 5 – 8 hours per day Be prepared and able to perform required movements like lifting, stooping, kneeling, reaching and pulling boxes off shelves and racks Able to lift items weighing 5 – 25 lbs regularly. Willing to work weekends and nights, as scheduled Responsible for opening and closing store as scheduled Requirements Your Experience and Qualifications You are a rational optimist You have a following of loyal customers from your past experience You speak and write clearly, warmly, and effectively You are known for your admirable work ethic and positive mindset You are good at identifying and acting on priorities You can complete tasks and still stay focused on your customers You have previous experience as a Key Holder or Shift Supervisor Your Personal Attributes You make it easy for customers to love the shopping experience You are able to take the initiative and use your best judgment when assisting customers You are reliable and enjoy helping out where needed You are organized and use your time wisely You are trusted to capably and accurately process cash and card payments Your actions make it clear you are an ambassador for the Life is Good brand YOU'LL KNOW YOU'RE SUCCESSFUL WHEN Our customers leave with a smile and a shopping bag Our customers come back because of you and tell their friends to do the same We meet our daily, weekly, and monthly sales and service Your team and managers tell you they trust and count on you Benefits Our store is located in beautiful La Jolla, CA.
