The exact dates are flexible depending on each student's availability and our business need. Our internships are full-time paid positions (40 hours/week). Intern positions can only be offered to those who will be returning to their studies in fall 2024.Exploration's purpose is to replace reserves depletion by pursuing organic growth and external opportunities with the highest value and upside potential.As an intern, you will be responsible for implementing specific Resource Modeling related projects, as well as supporting the day-to-day activities of your department. The exact projects will be established according to your availability, interest, skills, and experience, in addition to specific business needs.Your role will consist ofHere is a snapshot of what your day-to-day will look like:• General support to the Resource Modeling team for data analysis and reporting.• Research into multiple topics including geological and geostatistical methods.• Support exploration data migration across software platforms and file types.• Support compilation of geoscience training materials.• Support for python coding efforts such as version of scripts etc.• Depending on skills and interests, a discipline-specific mini-project to collaborate with in-house specialists.• May have an opportunity to conduct a mine site/lab visit.The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.Your training, skills, and experience checklistHere is what we would need to see from you!Education:• Graduate students, or undergraduate students who have completed at least two full years of undergraduate course work preferred.• The ideal candidate is specializing in Earth Sciences, Engineering or Mathematics.Experience:• Experience with MS Office (Excel) and PowerBI preferred.• Experience in mining and/or passion to learn about the mining industry preferred.Skills and Abilities:• Strong organization, project, and self-time management skills.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with senior leaders and global teams.• Strong research methods capability and writing skills.• Valid work authorization to work in the United States for this position.Working conditions and locationWhere you will be located!This internship is based at our corporate headquarters in Denver, CO. Due to COVID-19, our Denver workforce is currently hybrid work-from-home. The candidate must be able to work from home and be available to work from the corporate headquarters if required. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
