Come join a leading, fast-growing, regional Audio Visual Integrator specializing in indoor entertainment infrastructure (not live events)! We are currently looking for a Design Engineer for a Commercial AV Integrator Requirements: Serving as interface with clients; responsible for communications with clients and subcontractors.
Designing major components or major portions of a functional AV system to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
Developing basic data and making preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present the design proposal.
Investigating pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability; replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost.
Creating Scope of Work, BOM, and AutoCAD design files as required
Coordinate AV requirements with appropriate company personnel
Create bid documents, as required
Coordinate site requirements, as required
Proficiency in Crestron, Symmetrix, Q-sys, NVX, EPC lighting, no Lutron needed, LED and dvLED, Novastar, Vanguard LED, Taylor LED, Planar LED, catering to indoor live entertainment venues and theme-park type clients, mixed media playback, audio consoles, rigging.
Assist with the development of appropriate design documentation
Attend applicable meetings, visit customer sites and conduct site surveys (as required) to gather necessary information
Professionally represent the company to the customer and other project contacts and manage the customer's expectations
Assist with the design and documentation of systems for the company's core business, as needed
Qualifications: Proficiency in Excel, encompassing company's budgets and client-provided templates, and adeptness in working with linked cells and formulas.
Capability to offer clear and concise directives promptly, even in live event scenarios.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering effective interactions with management, crew members, and clients.
Comfort in engaging with clients face-to-face.
Demonstrated leadership skills within a team setting.
Skillful communication is on-site with the designated crew.
Effective time management abilities, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
In-depth understanding of technical equipment and its functionality.
Proficiency in devising technical show flows based on agendas supplied by clients.
Has 95% indoor Entertainment Lighting & Mixed Media, fixed installs (not live events)
Competence in conducting site visits at contracted venues or potential locations.
Availability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessitated by the role's demands.
