Radiology Assistant-

Description
Assists in gathering information for the preparation of reports. Keeps records, maintains filing system in accordance with department systems. Classifies, retrieves and files correspondence, records and other documents. Purges files in accordance with policies. Processes information using the Order Entry System. Cleans and inspects equipment used. Receives assists and directs patients coming into the department. Schedules and explains exams and preparation. Assist with order entry/data processing, report retrieval, and CD burning as needed. Assist Radiologic Technologist or/and Radiologist prior to and during a procedure by setting up the necessary supplies and equipment on a sterile field. Assist personnel in the department in moving patients, holding patients, and preparing patients for exams. Properly transfers patients to and from department without causing unnecessary delays in workflow or unnecessary waiting time for patient. Reviews outpatient orders for next day exams and ensures if labs are needed, they have been completed. Calls outpatient appointments the day before to confirm their appointment. Calls patients and assists them in getting needed lab results for exam. Demonstrates adherence to the CORE Values of CHRISTUS Health Care. Requirements Education Required:
