JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs tests of incoming raw materials and in-process testing for the manufacturing operation of Malarkey Roofing Products. This position also conducts quality audits to assist in plant trials.
Essential Functions include: Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment. Perform chemical and physical property tests. Perform data entry on multiple platforms (SQC, Access, Excel). Review data logs in the manufacturing department, communicating with management at levels, supervisors, and production operators ensuring consistent adherence to quality standards are met. Generate quality reports from the operating system for senior management to review. Overall Responsibilities
Duties and tasks are varied and moderately complex. Applies advanced clerical/support or paraprofessional skills to the position. May adopt procedures and processes to accomplish position requirements. Works under minimal supervision.
Knowledge, Education, and Experience
AS/BS Degree in a scientific or technical field; or HS Diploma/GED with previous manufacturing experience of two years. Previous experience as a Quality Technician or Process Technician strongly preferred. Must have good written and oral communication skills working within a diverse population.
