We have an opening that will allow you to sit at our South Plant for or Catalyst operations in Louisville. Your daily responsibilities will primarily consist of daily product testing in order to provide support to production and Research & Development. You will have the opportunity to work with state of the art and innovative analytical techniques, well established lab/test environment, ISO 9001 certified quality laboratory system with excellent growth opportunities. Hours will be 6a-6p Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday.
Responsibilities You will comply with all laboratory guidelines Responsible for proactively contributing to the safety culture, regularly reports opportunities for improvement. You will analyze using wet, physical, and instrumental methods to determine product composition and characteristics Manage project-based tasks assigned by group leader Responsible for entering data into SAP and SQL LIMS. Report out of specification results to ensure quality products Make-up raw material solutions for product in process control. Calibrate equipment, solution standardization, and ISO updates You will take on responsibility for continuous sustaining of 5S in the work area Tabulate and present quality data to the internal customers including sales, R&D and production Participate in process capability, accuracy, and variation studies Requirements Minimum four-year degree (chemistry or chemical engineering preferred) or equivalent lab experience (1-3 years with any related tools to XRF or IC with said lab experience) You should have a working knowledge of basic analytical chemistry You should have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products, SAP, and SQL LIMS desired Strong mathematical aptitude would be a plus General knowledge and experience with instrumentation used for physical and wet chemical analysis: Atomic Absorbance, BET SA, Titrations, etc. highly desired Must be well organized and able to solve problems Must be service oriented, able to multi-task, and work at a fast pace What´s in it for you?
