We are seeking a Progressive Punch Press Operators R&M High Speed Stampings (Formerly known as Thomas Engineering Company) Now has New Ownership and New Management ! What is a progressive punch press ?
Progressive Die metal stamping allows machines to operate on a continuous cycle and product a part with every stroke of the punch press machine without interruption. With the punch press thousands to millions of the exact same part could be manufactured quickly and efficiently. The material is fed into the punch press, and through the progressive die, in exact increments, or progressions. Every stroke of the press feeds the same length of material. The speed at which progressive dies smash out parts can be lightning fast, to slow and deliberate, with each part being an exact duplicate of the part before.
As the material "progresses" through the die different actions can be performed. We can punch holes through the material. Those holes can be round, or complex. We can bend parts of the metal at different angles. We can squish the material, or coin it, to make it thinner. We can draw the material, stretching it to change elevations along a plane. Progressive dies can also make multiple parts at the same time, thus yielding more than one part per stroke of the punch press.
Parts from the very small, like electrical components where a thousand pieces fit into the palm of your hand, to body panels for automobiles are made using progressive die metal stamping.

In this role, you will
Operate and set up Punch Press machines Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards Other duties as assigned You must be able to: Accurately use set up tools, feeders, coilers, and coil straighteners Inspect and record part dimensions Troubleshoot causes when parts do not conform to specs Unload and package finished parts Have good math ability and problem solving skills Stand continuously and lift objects up to 50# We are seeking a team player who is reliable and punctual and willing to commit to our fabrication team having fun while working safe and producing quality efficiently.
