Job summary
Experienced Project Technician/Mechanic needed in Chesapeake, VAAbove average pay, great benefits, and low turnover40+ hours per week plus some weekend work

Responsibilities
• Execution of mechanical projects including installation and maintenance of HVAC systems• Manage and/or contribute to project performance• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment• Maintain high standard of mechanical installation practices• Follow all safety requirements and use appropriate PPE• Follow written project installation plans• Keep appropriate records• Flexibility to work extended shifts• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Requirements
• 2+ years of duct installation experience• Effective communication with customers, vendors, and co-workers• Basic ability to read and understand schematics• Comprehension of refrigeration cycle• Basic knowledge of DDC controls• Ability to operate hand tools and powered tools safely• Ability to work on ladders and elevated platforms• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks• Five years of commercial service or installation experience• High school diploma or GED• Valid driver's license• CFC Universal Refrigerant Certification• Forklift, boom lift, first responder, CPR certifications encouraged
