OCMI, Inc. is growing and seeking a full-time dynamic, success driven Project Planner to join our onsite team on a multi-year, large-scale active construction program located in New Haven, CT.If you are an experienced project planner and can relate to OCMI's core values of curiosity, meaningful service, and integrity, then we would like to hear from you! 
Roles and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:  Support project planning by liaising with municipal agencies for required submissions and approvals.Advocate for organizational interests in meetings with authorities involved in planning and permitting.Review architectural plans to support Program Directors and ensure adherence to design standards.Provide ongoing code and constructability review for the Architectural discipline.Coordinate plan review services from various disciplines and resolve planning and technical conflicts.Develop planning models aligned with departmental and institutional priorities.Participate in planning objectives and strategy incorporation into departmental plans.Manage authorizations through clear presentations for informed decision-making.Provide recommendations on planning, design issues, and large-scale planning studies.Review progress and quality of work by outside and in-house consultants.Act as the primary contact among project stakeholders during the planning phase.Advise on conformity with specifications, codes, regulations, and design standards.Develop architectural program requirements and overall project budgets.Manage consultant selection and ensure planning phase completion within approved budget and schedule.Requirements Include:  A minimum of 7 years of Planning experience and having worked as a planner on at least one of the following project types: laboratory, research, and academic building projects or programs.  Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Planning is required Prior experience planning complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing renovation projects Strong self-starter and with ability to work independently on-site while collaborating with corporate team as neededExcellent communication skills, written and verbal.
