Job summary
Assist in evaluating building's life safety and protectionDesign and incorporate fire prevention concepts into constructionEnsure up-to-date fire codes and standards are followed

Responsibilities
• Design and calculate fire protection systems• Perform site surveys of existing facilities and fire protection systems• Provide building fire code and life safety analysis• Prepare letters and reports for submission to clients and authorities• Witness or perform acceptance testing for fire protection systems• Some travel may be required
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or other construction related field• 4+ years of experience in a construction related field• Experience with Fire Modeling (FDS) and timed egress analysis preferred• Knowledge of ICC and NFPA code & standards and ability to interpret them preferred• Ability to gain knowledge of fire protection engineering and design principles• Excellent communicator, including graphic and print media, and verbal presentation skills
