Position Summary The Project Manager I provides leadership, management, oversight, and coordination of all aspects of assigned projects. In this role, the Project Manager I coordinates cross-functional efforts to develop new commercial products, new Law Enforcement products, or other strategic initiatives related to company goals.

Job Duties Manages new product development projects of small arms and accessories across all functions Manages strategic initiatives or capital projects as assigned Assembles, leads, directs, and encourages high performing cross functional teams Achieves cost, quality, delivery, and performance targets Encourages favorable opportunities, and manages project risk Presents regularly to team, suppliers, partners, management, & executive staff Develops and maintains accurate and effective resource loaded Project Schedules Leads multiple projects of various complexities and product families concurrently Facilitates corrective action and team problem solving, applying best practices Leads and interacts with outsourced suppliers and partners Responsible for effective project change control Other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business Management, or related field required.

Experience Requirements Two years of experience leading cross functional teams to successfully achieve specific goals is required.

Skills and Competencies All FN America employees are expected to demonstrate communication, forethought, flexibility, technical acumen, leadership, customer focus, and innovation. Additional requirements of this position include:
Understanding & application of the Project Management Body of Knowledge tool kit Presentation of complex information Creation of resource loaded project schedule Data analysis, problem solving & critical thinking skills Basic understanding of project estimation & tracking Ability to influence others without authority Risk & opportunity management Team creative problem-solving Ability to adapt and deal with ambiguity, political, and social conflict in a professional manner High bias for action and ability to break down complex issues into manageable pieces. Familiarity with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) tool kit and an academic understanding of application Specific knowledge of schedule development, budget management, team facilitation techniques, risk management basics, presentations, creative problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills Familiarity with small arms or weapons systems is a plus
Tools Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project / ePPM

Certifications/Licenses PMP Preferred, but not required

Working Conditions Typical office environment with some travel between buildings and to other locations required.
