Project Engineer A leading contractor renowned for excellence in drywall, metal framing, and acoustical ceilings is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join a dynamic team! This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for construction and a drive for success.
Job Type: Full-time, Office-based with occasional local travel
Responsibilities: Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently and meet quality standards. Design Review: Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential issues and propose solutions. Material Procurement: Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints. Subcontractor Management: Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met and quality standards are maintained. Budget Monitoring: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Document Control: Maintain accurate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensure workmanship and materials meet project specifications and industry standards. Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment. Client Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to address project concerns, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction. Progress Reporting: Generate progress reports and presentations for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions. Field Support: Provide technical support to field teams as needed, resolving construction-related issues and facilitating problem-solving. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and contribute to the enhancement of company processes and procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Previous experience in construction project management or engineering, preferably in drywall, metal framing, or acoustical ceilings. Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and safety standards.
