Duties Major duties include but are not limited to:
Receives, coordinates, and processes mail from internal and external vendors along with billing and Veteran correspondence to the appropriate personnel. Organizes meetings, coordinates interviews, creates invites in Outlook, reserves rooms, prepares agendas, annotates minutes, and needed equipment. Performs a wide variety of administrative tasks associated with office work, CPRS, outlook and consults. Types and prepares letters/correspondence, creates reports, memoranda, and other general office documents using basic word processing software. Respond clearly to common requests or questions about referrals. Keep abreast of the department SOPs and Standards of Work (SOW) and help maintain accuracy. Keeps track of due dates and helps the departments maintain timeliness when documents are due for renewal. Responsible for the routine clerical, typing, copying, and electronic record maintenance for the program. Resolves routine matters on the basis of knowledge of program and operations. Refers more complex issues to appropriate supervisors. Reviews all correspondence/publications prepared for the signature of individuals to ensure correct format, grammar, spelling, punctuation, appearance, and assembly. Complete ADPAC duties such as creating new accounts, request codes/access to VA computer systems, assigning computer menus & keys, and e-PAS access requests. Serve as primary timekeeper for the Community Care and Virtual Health department. Reviews and certifies Time & Attendance (T&A) reports for a variety of pay plans, types of leave, and special pay situations. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. GS-06 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: performing clerical/administrative duties in an office environment; answering and directing phone calls; preparing correspondence and reports; maintaining files/records; collecting, compiling, and tracking data and statistical information; performing automation duties using software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, database and/or graphics; scheduling meetings and taking meeting minutes. There is no educational substitution for the GS-06 level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
