About Water Education for Latino Leaders (WELL)
Water Education for Latino Leaders (WELL), established in 2012, is on a mission to educate local Latino elected officials about water issues in order to promote timely and equitable policies and actions that support a robust economy, healthy communities, and a resilient environment for all Californians. WELL hosts annual conferences, regional workshops, and fellowship programs to educate elected leaders about the most pressing water issues in California. Position Description
The Program Manager position is a remarkable and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to support a growing organization dedicated to its vision and the impact of its mission on California communities. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Manager will oversee WELL's events, programs, and outreach efforts from start to finish. They will also develop a deep knowledge of California water issues, nonprofit management, and community organizing practices.
In this full-time role, the Program Manager will develop projects and design processes to support and implement WELL's strategic priorities. In addition, the Program Manager will interface with key stakeholders and community partners, including local elected officials, program sponsors, and water sector leaders in California. The successful candidate will thrive on cultivating relationships, possess an entrepreneurial spirit suited for dynamic environments, demonstrate autonomy in their work, and excel in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Essential Functions
Support all WELL programs and events, including an annual conference, webinars, the UnTapped Fellowship program, and new initiatives.
Coordinate and support for all WELL Programs and Events, including annual conference, webinars, legislative workshops, and the UnTapped Fellowship program.
Aid in developing and planning new programs.
Develop and execute WELL communications strategy.
Assist the Executive Director with developing, implementing, and evaluating programs, procedures, and standards.
Participate and represent WELL in partner meetings and events as needed.
Develop monthly newsletters to highlight both internal and external successes.
Manage all aspects of communication—from web presence to external relations—with the goal of creating a stronger brand. Platforms include Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.
Compose documents and correspondence for presentations, conferences, seminars, and reports.
Support relationships with strategic partners and constituents.
Monitor and organize constituents and partners in WELL's database.
Support WELL's fundraising efforts for programs
Performs a variety of administrative tasks.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
At least three years of related program management experience.
Four-year college degree in public policy, political science, environmental science, nonprofit management, or humanities-related fields, Master's degree a plus
Experience using a well-organized framework or system to enhance organizational effectiveness
Proficient in utilizing tools or design systems and processes to track data and monitor progress.
Exhibited superb writing and editing proficiency, adept at crafting diverse written materials as required.
Proficient in Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.), and other office software.
Experience in the use of social media platforms such as—but not limited to—Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and willingness to learn and adapt to emerging outreach technologies.
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment involving flexible hours, including working evenings and weekends as needed.
Must be willing to travel throughout California and across your home region as needed, including overnight stays and air-travel.
Must have a valid driver's license with proof of automobile insurance coverage.
Strong interest in climate change, water policy, water management, environmental justice, and the Human Right to Water.
Marketing and public relations experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
Some experience with Canva skills is a plus.
Ability to share personal narrative to establish a transformative connection with others
