Program ManagerDescription/Job SummaryASHP, on behalf of the End Drug Shortages Alliance (EDSA), is recruiting a program manager to implement the EDSA's mission of ending drug shortages. The program manager will work closely with the executive director to plan and execute Board-directed strategies, tactics, and programs that support the EDSA vision, mission, and objectives. 
EDSA is dedicated to solving drug supply challenges by working to increase transparency, quality manufacturing, and the production of additional supplies of medications. Since its launch in December 2021, EDSA has grown to a nonprofit organization of 84 member organizations with more than 255 active participants that include healthcare providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, group purchasing organizations, and others.You can learn more about the EDSA's mission by visitinghttps://www.enddrugshortages.com/. The EDSA has contracted with ASHP to employ the program manager and provide related support services.
The salary range for this position is $65,000-$72,500 in addition to ASHP's comprehensive benefit plan.  This position is a remote position and can be located in any of the following states: AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KY, MD, MA, MI, MN, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TX, VA, WV, WI.
What You'll Be Doing for EDSA/ASHP:
Program Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of goals and initiatives aimed at addressing drug shortages. This includes identifying areas of focus, setting goals and objectives, and ensuring the successful implementation of activities.Collaboration and Coordination: Foster and maintain relationships with member organizations, industry stakeholders, and other relevant entities to promote collaboration and advance the goals of EDSA. Collaborate regularly with Executive Director, Board of Directors, and Committee Chairs to prepare materials, as well as ensure timely action and post meeting follow-ups.Communication and Reporting: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with member organizations, Board of Directors, and the public. Manage EDSA's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to communicate with new and established members, update the website, and manage invoicing of membership dues. Prepare reports and presentations on EDSA's membership, activities, and outcomes.Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans in collaboration with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to advance the mission and vision of the End Drug Shortages Alliance.Resource Management: Manage the allocation of resources, including budgeting, membership dues, and fundraising activities, to support EDSA's programs and initiatives.Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish and implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track the progress and impact of the EDSA's activities. Use data and feedback to inform decision-making and make necessary adjustments to programs and initiatives.Advocacy and Outreach: Support advocacy efforts to raise awareness about drug shortages and advocate for policy changes and initiatives that can help alleviate the issue. This includes developing and implementing advocacy strategies and participating in relevant industry conferences and events.Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to staff, the Board of Directors, and member participants involved in EDSA's committees, task forces, and initiatives. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages innovation and excellence.Perform other duties as assigned.What You Bring to EDSA/ASHP:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., public health, healthcare administration, nonprofit management).Proven experience in program or project management, preferably in the healthcare or nonprofit sector.Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including knowledge of drug shortages and related issues.Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is preferred.Ability to multi-task and deal with minimal direction in some cases or issues that are not always clearly defined.
