CAMBA's School-Based Early Support Program is a collaborative initiative with ACS designed to empower families and promote children's well-being within the school environment. This program offers a range of services and supports directly accessible to families through partnerships with local schools.
Position: Program Director Reports To: Vice President Location: 955 Flatbush Ave 4 th Floor Brooklyn NY 11226/ Hybrid Remote What The Program Director Does: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the SBES program, aligning with CAMBA's mission and long-term goals. Foster a macro-level mindset that focuses on program effectiveness, staff empowerment, and achieving impactful outcomes. Facilitate discussions with your supervisor to identify opportunities to delegate tasks effectively and dedicate time to strategic priorities. This may involve transitioning from a more hands-on supervisor/case planner role to a leadership position focused on program vision, staff development, and collaboration. Oversee all aspects of program delivery, including staff supervision, resource allocation, logistics management, and quality improvement initiatives. Utilize data analysis and reporting to track program progress toward goals, identify areas for improvement, and measure program impact. Lead grant writing efforts to secure funding for program sustainability and growth. Manage program budget effectively, ensuring responsible fiscal stewardship. Prepare program reports and communicate program outcomes to CAMBA leadership and stakeholders. Oversee daily program activities and staff performance. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes staff retention and high morale. Promote professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, fostering career growth. Invest in staff training and professional development to enhance their skills and knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous learning and empowerment. Establish clear roles and responsibilities for each staff level, fostering ownership and accountability. Implement regular performance reviews that focus on goal achievement, staff development, and effective delegation within the team. Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss program progress, challenges, and opportunities. Encourage information sharing and collaboration. Minimum Education/Experience Required: Licensed Master's degree in Social Work (LMSW or LCSW) and 3 years of supervisory experience. LCSW and 2 years of supervisory experience preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience working with families and children in a community setting. Other Requirements: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and program databases. Commitment to cultural competency and anti-oppressive practice. Knowledge of trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing principles (a plus). Experience with or training in Evidence Based Model Implementation) Exceptional writing skills for clear, concise, and professional documentation, reports, and communication with various stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Working knowledge of relevant databases and case management systems (a plus). Commitment to cultural competency and anti-oppressive practice. Strong understanding of student support services, including IEPs, 504 plans, and SEL programs. Compensation : $85,000-$90,000 annually
When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization. Status: Full-time (35 hours per week)
