OverviewIn this role, you will be responsible for scheduling, staffing, maintaining all equipment, onboarding new products, quality, inventory control, and coordinating production activities with other departments. Support the development of a world-class production system, with a focused effort on reducing costs while improving on-time deliveries in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
ResponsibilitiesDefine, monitor, report, and show period-over-period improvements in key process metrics.
Improve performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost every period.
Build and maintain relationships that motivate, guide, and/or reinforce the performance of others toward goal accomplishments.
Develop self and others to improve performance in current role and to prepare for future roles.
Determine efficient production methods using Lean manufacturing techniques.
Technical insight to leverage software such as MRP and MES.
Operate within prescribed budgetary boundaries and time restrictions.
Compile equipment operational data for optimal proactive equipment maintenance
Experience layering in semi-automation into production cells/lines.
Strong analysis and reporting (Excel is a must, BI a plus)
Pro-active communication style, cross-functional influencer, and results-driven.
Financial acumen including ROI, budgeting, etc.
Apply appropriate cost and process benchmarks, financial analysis, and risk management techniques to solve complex issues.
Interview and hire staff and oversee staff training.
Conduct performance evaluations of production employees
Participate in the development of specifications for tools, equipment, materials, and methods.
Manage multiple teams,
Demonstrate and enforce company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Other DetailsHigh School diploma and at least five years of relevant experience in a lead Manufacturing role
Requires strong working knowledge of Manufacturing Methods, Materials Planning, and Inventory Control functions as well as a good understanding of financial and manufacturing principles.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word for data analysis and documentation
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a Business or Engineering curriculum
Experience implementing semi-automation in high-mix, repetitive manufacturing cells.
Demonstrated experience with MRP systems.
Working knowledge of the latest methods of planning and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
