Job Duties: Operates production machinery as required. Monitors equipment for proper operation, changes equipment as required, and informs maintenance mechanics of any mechanical problems. Serves as first level of defense for production floor problem solving, before escalating to Supervisor. • Communicates to Supervisor any production floor issues. Acts as back-up for Production Technicians. Serves as a resource for production technicians to resolve technical issues and questions. Oversees production line operations during absence of Production Supervisor. Understands and follows PQI standards. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Two (2) years related field experience working in a high-speed manufacturing environment preferred. Forklift experience preferred. Mechanical ability, manual dexterity, physical stamina, and reading comprehension skills required. Must have good oral and written communication skills. Good time management and organization skills required. Must be able to use personal computer for data entry. Must have good problem-solving skills. Must have attention to detail. Must be able to successfully complete the forklift certification. Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks. Must be able to speak and read English. Physical Requirements: Constantly (67%-100%) required to sit. Occasionally (0%-33%) required to walk and lift up to 50 pounds.
