Nesco Resource is hiring a Product Quality Engineer for their client located in Wallingford CT
A DAY in the life of a Product Quality Engineer:
Follow up customer and internal / supplier claims (until closed effectively)
Ensure Develop the inspection of products and their processes of fabrication in accordance with established plans
Participate in continuous improvement projects and problem-solving drills
Ensure that all relevant Quality personnel have proper training and documented evidence that supports it. Could be either train inspectors directly or with external qualified support
Participate in product and process audits
Maintain inspection records, daily technical support and monitoring of inspection activities, including data collection
Prepare necessary information packages to support Internal Quality Audits and follow-up of open/pending Corrective Actions
WHAT you have:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
5+ years of Industrial Engineer or similar experience.
To comply with ITAR, must be US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident
WHAT Skills & Knowledge you bring:
AS9100 Aerospace, ability to monitor and control processes
Management of project development deliverables quality
Ability to Conduct Quality audit or diagnosis
Ability to propose solutions to optimize processes, products and tools
Skilled knowledge of AS9100 Aerospace Quality Standards
Continuous improvement methods – Lean – Six sigma
FMEA/Control Plan knowledge
Internal Audit experience
Root cause analysis methodology
Demonstrated competency communicating with employees at various levels of operations regarding process and assessment requirements
