Summary: The Product Manager reports to the Director of Platform Product Management. Product Managers assess the market and customer needs, define the roadmap for the product platform, monitor its development and delivery, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders. The team works closely with Product Marketing and Product Owners to ensure the customer and market need for Pearson's products are carried through into software development.
This Product Manager role will specialize in the evolution of our enrollment system and processes. This person will collaborate closely with leaders from Marketing, Analytics and Insights, Enrollment, Customer Experience, Retention, and Customer Success Partners, as well as product owners, to distill strategic goals and create a clear vision for the enrollment experience. The Product Manager will ensure that the roadmap considers user experience, market research, business processes, product planning, design, user testing, and evaluation metrics to deliver value to the business. The primary objective is to enhance innovation, competitiveness, and financial return by continuously improving enrollment conversion rates, increasing self-service capabilities and overall customer experience.
The Product Manager is expected to be an expert in Agile Software Development practices and will be part of the implementation of those practices within the Product Management team.
Primary Responsibilities: Collaboratively develop and continually refine product roadmaps based on our strategy and investment priorities for the platform capabilities that enable the end-to-end Product Solution Leverage Pearson's market research, competitive intelligence, and user experience research capabilities to reflect the voice of the customer in all product roadmaps. Ensure all stakeholder voices are heard and clear priorities are set for development teams. Develop business cases with clear business value and metrics for success and execute against the plan with all stakeholders and teams throughout the development and go to market implementation. Support preparation for release increments by coordinating the activities of multiple teams and ensuring customers and other stakeholders are informed in a timely manner. Support all quality management efforts by assuring that the aggregate results of the teams are routinely integrated; that performance, security, reliability requirements and other standards are met. Advocate for effective resource allocation decisions that support the program vision. Serve as a subject matter expert on the roles and responsibilities of the Product Management team and a deep understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Product Owners, and Product Developers Develop strong working relationships with Product Development leadership to ensure tough decisions, issue escalation, and change/enhancement requests are managed well. Evaluate dashboards and reports on product performance and KPI measurements. Work with our research teams to define, measure, and improve the efficacy of our digital products. Ability to clearly articulate verbally and in writing, the rationale for investments in the enrollment product offering from both a customer experience and financial return perspective, business case and valuation creation experience. Keep abreast of industry trends, technologies, and competitive analyses to identify new opportunities and initiatives which ultimately serve the long-term product strategy. Build deep expertise and empathy for the customers and learners that use our curriculum, services, and software products. Develop rapport and trust with business owners, engineering, architecture, and key stakeholders. Lead and support continual process improvement by proposing optimizations for any aspect of the development environment and lifecycle. Requirements :
Bachelor's degree required, Master of Business Administration or relevant graduate degree, preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a product management role. Experience working in an agile software development environment. Product launch and/or integration experience. In addition, the ideal candidate will have :
Experience with platform development for Enrollment Systems, Salesforce, Learning Management Systems, Student Information Systems Domain expertise/experience in Technical Support & Service eco-system technologies such as, but not limited to, CRM, Knowledge Mgmt., Chatbots, AI, Call Center-Telephony Integration and Omni-Channel support. Experience with Azure ADO Capabilities & Behaviors :

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to management. Must be able to translate data into information, then highlight insights and conclusions to provide business recommendations. Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $95,000 - $120,000.
