Role Summary The Procurement Representative will provide support to operations, including creating and reviewing procurement transactions, organizing the order and distribution of goods and services, and utilizing data to support the efficient purchase of goods and materials. This position will be responsible for customer interaction relating to equipment and material orders. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.
Autonomy & Decision-Making: Follows directions and refers all exceptions to supervisor. Career Path: Procurement Specialist Key Role Responsibilities - Core PROCUREMENT REPRESENTATIVE FAMILY - CORE
Solicits and tabulates quotes from suppliers for various material and supply purchases. Manages requisitions and executes the communication of purchase orders between operations and vendors. Functions as initial point of contact to address order discrepancies and delivery disputes. Updates and manages procurement transactional as well as vendor content in all relative systems (CMIC, supplier performance dashboard, e-Commerce). Provides pertinent information for supplier review and project meetings, participates and helps plan scheduling and logistics for meetings and events. Utilizes ERP systems and other applications to create reporting, analyzes data, and escalates discrepancies, trends, etc. to procurement leadership. Responds to vendor inquiries regarding purchase order/payments/backorder discrepancies and works with A/P and other stakeholders to resolve. Assists with identifying functionality issues and improvement opportunities in the Ecommerce platform and CMiC and works with appropriated resources to resolve. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner Communication skills, verbal and written Proficiency in MS Office Proficiency in Ecommerce platform and ERPs Ability to learn the operating systems for data entry Ability to identify common construction materials and equipment Ability to provide excellent customer service through positive interaction with customers Thorough knowledge of procurement disciplines Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally Education High School Diploma or GED (Required) In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered. Experience 0-2 years procurement or construction materials purchasing experience (Preferred) Working Environment Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds Typically travel is not required Normal office environment, but may be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold) Frequent activity: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen Occasional activity: Bending, Climbing, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling Benefits Information The benefits package aligned to this position is Professional Non-Union.
