About this Opportunity
We are looking for a Principal Business Intelligence Engineer to lead our Enterprise Intelligence squad. In this role, you will be responsible for building data pipelines using your deep knowledge of Talend, SQL, and data analysis on our bespoke Snowflake data warehouse for Enterprise Intelligence.
What You'll Do:
Lead and Execute Projects: Oversee engineering and development projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
Provide Technical and Operational Support: Assist our customer base and other technical areas within the company that utilize the IT Data Warehouse.
Risk Management: Handle reconciliation of vulnerabilities, security baselines, and other risk and audit-related objectives.
Administrative Functions: Maintain tool documentation and manage service requests.
24x7 On-call L3 Support: Participate in a rotational schedule with other team members.
User Training: Increase awareness and usage of the IT Data Warehouse.
Incident Management: Ensure incident, problem, and change tickets are addressed promptly, and escalate issues as necessary.
Adherence to Processes: Follow ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem resolution.
Risk Mitigation: Follow established procedures, monitor controls, spot key errors, and demonstrate strong ethical behavior.
Sound Like You?
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a related field.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Additional Qualifications:
Data Warehousing: 10+ years of related work experience, with 5+ years managing data warehouses in production environments.
Lifecycle Management: Experience with planning, design, deployment, upkeep, and retirement of data warehouses.
Team Management: 5+ years working with distributed teams and managing offshore vendors.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of star/snowflake schemas, SQL, and data integration tools such as Talend, Power BI, PowerShell, and Autosys.
Agile Development: Ability to manage agile development cycles within our SDLC methodology.
System Competency: Intermediate to advanced skills with Windows and Unix-like operating systems.
Project Management: Essential project management skills.
Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
