What you will do: Principal Talent Acquisition Partner will be responsible for assessing the current and future talent acquisition needs of the business, then delivering a progressive, full-cycle recruitment process that is both customer and applicant focused. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that the best possible talent will be hired through a partnership with the Business Leaders and Talent Acquisition. The Principal Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for providing strategic recruitment support for CMS Energy assigned business areas. They will execute external recruiting, act as the key contact for candidates, drive recruiting strategies, and build/maintain client relationships. They will interface with business leaders to deliver qualified talent to fill critical roles and provide market intelligence to drive recruiting business outcomes.

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business 7+ years of Experience in a talent acquisition role or related human resource role. In this role, you will:  Challenge, influence, and counsel business leaders through the selection process ensuring a strong fit between both internal & external candidates and available CMS opportunities. Streamline and implement recruiting/hiring practices that provide qualified and diverse candidate pools to functional client groups and that drive down time-to-fill metrics. Manage the full cycle recruiting process with exceptional customer service orientation/follow through that provides a positive experience for both the candidate and hiring manager. Engage with hiring managers to understand their needs and provide counsel and guidance on hiring practices. Proactively prospect source, assess and select qualified applicants to be referred as candidates for open searches, including networking and cultivating a talent pipeline. Partner with recruiting agencies and contingent employee suppliers as needed, partnering with business leaders and the HR team to identify and develop relationships with key outreach partner. Conduct in-depth screenings of potential candidates and communicate clear expectations of the recruiting process, including interview and offer close. Evaluate skill level and complete offer process to include salary recommendations, offer letter generation and offer acceptance. Conduct regular follow-up with hiring manager to determine the effectiveness of recruiting and coach through the hiring process. Collaborate with the HR teams and co-lead the development of the CMS energy onboarding program. Research and recommend industry best practices to enhance the Recruitment Process Participate and/or lead talent acquisition innovative projects and share best practices while working in close collaboration with the talent acquisition teams in the context of our transformation road map.
