Responsibilities
• Prepares food items for cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars• Follows recipes to ensure quality and consistency• Labels, dates, covers, monitors, and rotates prepared items• Monitors food levels and replenishes in a timely manner• Provides excellent customer service and models suggestive selling techniques• Maximizes sales potential through effective procedures• Follows procedures for cleanliness, safety, and health regulations• Maintains clean and sanitary working and shopping environment• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned• Reports safety hazards and violations
Requirements
• Thorough product knowledge• Ability to follow recipes• Good understanding of food production and cooking techniques• Good basic math skills• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team• Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectable manner• Ability to meet customer service expectations• Ability to follow directions and procedures, effective time management and organization skills• Passion for natural foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Understanding and compliance with quality goals• 6-12 months of retail experience
