Power Systems Engineer
An esteemed member of a leading electrical services group is seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Engineer to join its dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to work with a company known for its excellence in electrical equipment services, testing, commissioning, and engineering solutions across various high-stakes industries. The company has a rich history, originally established as a breaker repair shop, and has evolved into a pivotal solutions provider with a significant footprint across the United States.

Location:
Flexible, with potential bases in Indianapolis (IN), Columbus (OH), Tulsa (OK), Dallas (TX), or Detroit (MI). The role will support operations across these locations, necessitating occasional travel.

Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive field data gathering for power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and protective device coordination.
Perform advanced electrical system analyses such as motor starting, transient studies, and harmonic analysis.
Manage onsite installation of arc flash hazard labels and perform subsequent study reviews with clients.
Provide expert recommendations to mitigate electrical system risks and enhance safety and coordination.
Update and manage electrical project drawings and settings for breaker/relay configurations.
Engage in protective relay programming and testing across various platforms.

Essential Qualifications:
A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering.
A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
At least 3 years of professional experience in engineering consulting or industrial plant settings, specifically involving power systems.
Proficiency in SKM Power Tools, ETAP, AutoCAD, and/or EasyPower; familiarity with GE Enervista, AcSELerator QuickSet, SEL Grid Configurator software.

Additional Requirements:
Willingness to work overtime and travel to various sites.
Physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing, lifting, and extensive standing or sitting.
A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and a comprehensive background check.
