Responsibilities: As part of the teaching team, the responsibilities of the Physical Education Instructor include ensuring equal participation among students and designing activities that benefit all individuals. This involves engaging students in both team sports and individual activities while emphasizing the safe and correct techniques for physical fitness. Additionally, the instructor is tasked with teaching social interaction skills alongside physical fitness skills. Other responsibilities include maintaining lesson plans, the gradebook, and conducting regular assessments.
The Physical Education Instructor is specifically responsible for teaching three physical education classes per day, adhering to the prescribed curriculum, which includes the utilization of Focused Fitness resources. They should have a basic understanding of current technology to enhance teaching methods. Furthermore, the ability to establish short- and long-term goals based on student needs is crucial. Additionally, the instructor is responsible for maintaining and inventorying all sports equipment and ensuring a safe environment for all students during physical education activities.
