Patient Serv Clerk

Patient Serv Clerk Location Memphis, TN (Downtown area) : JOB SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Interviews and screens patient/representative to determine appropriate clinic service. Responsible for scheduling clinic appointments and ensures that all required medical/patient information has been obtained, verified and secured. MACHINES OR EQUIPMENT OPERATED: Computer, multiple line telephone and other general office equipment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent with related course work required. Completion of a clerical or general office program desired. Proficient in Microsoft Office
EXPERIENCE: Twelve (12) months clerical, customer service, or related experience such as medical office, administrative, general clerical or customer/guest services.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions, plan and organize work to be done. Ability to maintain a positive attitude towards health care team members and diverse patient populations required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: High volume data entry requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, visual acuity to operate standard office equipment and sitting for long periods.
Location: Regional One Health · Post Acute Rehab Nursing Schedule: PRN, Evening shift, 7:00pm-11pm
