Responsibilities
• Working patient accounts as defined by department policies• Handling and resolving complex issues• Providing training and assistance to Level I staff• Recognizing and identifying issues pertaining to account working• Understanding and interpreting procedures relative to revenue process• Adhering to departmental policies and procedures• Performing additional tasks to meet department responsibilities and needs• Maintaining quality assurance program and safety standards• Dealing professionally with patients/public, co-workers, physicians, etc.• Performing specific functions relating to collection of patient accounts
Requirements
• 2-3 years' experience in healthcare• Computer experience• Knowledge of medical terminology, claims submission, customer service• Familiarity with insurance plans and collection practices
