The tutoring center in Alexandria is seeking talented candidates that are passionate about working with children to a Math Instructor positions. We currently have exciting opportunities for energetic, organized, and talented individuals who enjoy working with and tutoring children. This position is a great fit for an individual who is looking for part time opportunities and is willing to work in the afternoon/evenings Monday-Thursday, and Saturday Mornings.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans for mathematics classes
- Teach various mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Utilize technology and other resources to enhance instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and align curriculum
- Provide additional support to students who may require special education services
- Mentor and guide students in their academic and personal growth
- Manage classroom behavior to ensure a productive learning environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field
-Previous experience in teaching math to middle school or high school students is a plus
- Strong knowledge of mathematics concepts and principles
-Patience and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
-Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate diverse student needs.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex mathematical concepts to students
- Proficiency in using technology for instruction and assessment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and administrators
-Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum and educational standards.
