Total Compensation Estimator  This is an open competitive advertisement Your Specific Responsibilities: The incumbent of this position will independently facilitate a Positive Youth Development education curriculum in middle and high schools.  This incumbent will partner with Bay District Schools to provide Positive Youth Development education to fulfill the Governor's Resiliency mandate for up to 5,000 middle and high school students within a classroom setting.  This incumbent will promote activities targeting middle and high school youth, their parents, guardians, and significant adults.  The incumbent will also plan, facilitate, and participate in community events and presentations promoting the Positive Youth Development message.  This position is grant funded and can fluctuate in hours depending on the availability of funds. This is a full time, year-round position and requires some evening and weekend activities.  The incumbent in this position is responsible for the integrity and confidentiality of data sets under his/her control. After one year, position may be re-evaluated to meet the restrictions of the grant.
Positive Youth Development and Promoting Activities Independently facilitates a Positive Youth Development education curriculum for middle and high school students in Bay County in partnership with Bay District Schools to fulfill the Governor's Resiliency mandate beginning in January 2020.  Promotes activities to Bay County youth, parents, guardians and significant adults in community settings in accordance with the project work plan or as designated by the project coordinator.
Participates in staff conferences and activity design in an endeavor to develop and improve Positive Youth Development education and promoting activities.
Independently prepares necessary equipment, training aids and classrooms for Positive Youth Development education and promoting activities.
Independently identifies recruits and provides ongoing training and activities utilizing project peer leaders to promote the Positive Youth Development message in school and community settings.
Plans, develops and facilitates program events and activities.
Works with other sexual risk avoidance program staff to provide Positive Youth Development education classes in schools and community.   Develops and maintains working relationships with community partners, community organizations, and governmental agencies to promote the Positive Youth Development message to the community. 
Administrative Participates in project evaluation and staff development activities.  Evaluates and analyzes project activities making corrective action recommendations.
Completes and provides activity report forms, sign-in sheets and evaluations at the completion of each activity. Enters classroom and community data into Excel and Access accurately and in a timely manner. Submits reports and data in a timely manner.
Other Duties: Performs other related duties as required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Computer skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, Power Point), a knowledge of community programs and organizations, public speaking/educator skills.
